Dedicated to inspiring and encouraging women around the world to unapologetically be themselves.
Don't Betray Who You Are To Be Who They Want
Empowering the Goddess in You.
Every month, there will be a character trait within ourselves that we dedicate the next 4 weeks to sharpening. This exercise is designed to break down who you are into separate pieces, and sculpt each piece into a perfected trait you can re-attach to yourself, improving your self-esteem and the connection you have to the goddess dwelling within you.
It's amazing to me how often people will try and connect puzzles pieces that don't create an accurate picture of your life. They see small fragments of how your life is shaping up and use their imagination to fill in the blanks.
Being alone is a skill. And one not many have. People think that the only purpose while being single is to find a way not to be single. It's usually these type of individuals who are most miserable when they're not wrapped around someone else's arm day after day.
There are enough people doubting your decisions for you to be doing the same. Sometimes, you just have to rely on your instincts and do what you feel is right, what you believe is in your best interests. Of course, no one likes seeing you have that power; people love influencing you and steering you in directions they desire.
Chaos is swirling all around you. Like a raging tornado, the stress and anxiety is close to sweeping you up and thrashing you across the days and weeks of an agonizing month.
No one can know you better than...you. And for that matter, no one should. Yet, people always have their opinion of you, don't they? What they see doesn't satisfy them. The way you behave, what you wear and how you sound are contentious parts of yourself that they don't approve of. The only question you have to ask yourself when faced with these criticisms is this: why does their opinion matter? They don't, and here's why.
A lot of times, you're expected to cater to the needs of others. It's seen as a sign of good character when your desires are suppressed, placed in the back seat, to tend to the will and desires of those around you. But there's a problem with this path of selflessness that no one touches on.
The only time friends and family ever seem to want to be a part of what you're doing is when whatever it is you've got going on is doing well. When your projects and ambitions gain traction, suddenly phone numbers begin working, they no longer "miss" your texts, and it doesn't take weeks to respond to something you asked for.
People say things. A lot of things. Words are the cheapest commodity a person can own. In most cases, they're worthless; their only real significance is determined by the actions of the individual speaking them.
Happiness is the currency required to purchase peace and fulfillment. The problem is, everyone around you has their version of what happiness is and, more annoying, feel their perspective on the matter should apply to you. Your happiness must be drawn out of your own spiritual and mental desires. You can't allow others to dictate what your happiness is. But you do, don't you?
You are a Goddesses of the Earth. Except, you either don't know it or don't believe you are. So the question becomes --- why don't you? What makes you think otherwise? The world relies on you; the woman is the genesis of all life on Earth.
When was the last time you took notice of you? Can you remember when you last looked yourself in the mirror, and appreciated the person staring back, gave them a compliment, happy they were there, alive and well?
Everyone has to experience pain. That's how we grow and mature as individuals. Pain is a necessary experience we all have to go through as we navigate through life's challenges. To conquer pain, we must experience pain. There are a lot of complexities involved in developing relationships with people.
