Month 1

AMBITION

"Your dreams are too ambitious. You're not thinking realistic enough, practical enough. You need to tone it down, rethink your ambitions, reset your goals, and shoot for something more even-keeled. You don't understand how the world works, you can't just imagine something, and think that it's worth pursuing." 

Is this what they tell you...? Are these the venomous words from people around you who've long ago settled into a life of conformity and misery? You're always striving for more, you're always reaching out to climb higher, always pushing yourself to be greater than you were yesterday... And yet, no one understands your pursuit; no one thinks the way you do, they're threatened by your creative impulse. Your detractors are perplexed by your inability to surrender to life's complexities. 

You have a vision, a vision unclouded by doubt, a focus so intense, it burns against the skin of lazy, uninspired  family members and friends smothering your ambitions. Continuing to surround yourself with these types of people will drain your creative energy. We mistakenly believe that our friends and family have our best interests at heart. But don't be so blinded by long-time affiliations with individuals you know and love. This sense of loyalty will lower your guard when receiving information from them. You'll be incapable of deciphering their words, confusing support for hindrance, mistaking love for hate.

If you have a goal, a dream, an aspiration that shines in a room full of doubters, you must remove yourself from their presence. It's up to you to guard your dreams, to protect your vision from detractors, from people who allowed life to beat them down and convince them they weren't meant for greater things. Those people conformed to the idea that wealth and achievement was reserved for the few who have fortune and luck.  But you know better. You know that if you exert yourself, utilize every fiber of your being, that your vision will unfold in front of your eyes, and become the reality you spent blood, sweat, and tears investing in. 

You must understand that no one has to believe in you. There is only one person on Earth with that responsibility. That person is you. Stop listening to the noise, don't let doubt and fear invade your heart and mind. You'll end up like 99% of the people around you. They gave into fear. They gave into doubt. They want you to do the same. They want you to validate their decision to give up. Do not give them the pleasure...
